Can't <ahem> *hold my water* TMI

In addition to sore nips, aching hips, bleeding, and sleep deprivation I am having a VERY difficult time with incontinenceChat Icon Thankfully I'm still wearing maxi-pads (can't believe this is something I'm thankful for), so my "accidents" thusfar are manageable.

I've been doing Keigels- but they don't seem to work. In fact, this morning during my morning "wee" I tried to stop and start the flow and was COMPLETELY unable to. I felt the muscles moving, but it didn't even slow down my urine.

Obviously, I'll be mentioning this to my doctor, but wanted to know if this is something many women experience after childbirth? I had a vaginal delivery that ended with a vacuum extraction. Please, someone tell me this is not permanent!!!

I had the same issue after having DS 3 weeks ago.....it went away. It was more when I coughed or sneezed and a few times I held it too long because I was in the middle of doing something else instead of getting to the bathroom.

No worries, it is not permanent. I had the same issue and it does get better. I don't have leakage issues anymore, but when I gotta go, I gotta go. Can't hold it anymore.

I had the same issues as all the posters above and it was HORRIBLE. The doctor said my son tore up my bladder muscles and there was really nothing you could do about it until they healed. It slowly got better over time but I will say that it took a good 6-8 weeks before I felt confident again.

I "think" it's pretty normal. I know after I had DS I always leaked a little after I'd wipe and get ready to stand up.
